Palmitoylethanolamide (Pea) for Pain and Inflammation

This is the one I purchased from Amazon People afflicted with fibromyalgia, low back pain, Osteoarthritis and other conditions may find relief by taking Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA). As a proponent of experimentation in pain management approaches, I initiated an investigation into the effects of PEA to see if it can assist pain control. Doctor Forrest Tennant, an expert in this field who has developed a self-help protocol for Adhesive Arachnoiditis (AA), suggested the use of PEA. After extensive research, I found evidence indicating that PEA may be effective as part of a broader pain management strategy. I decided to give it a try considering there have been no major reported side effects besides nausea. Today is day one. I have decided to start with a low dose 300mg in the morning and 300 mg at night.  Check out this great article from iherb.com I have included some of the article below. It was truly a great read.  PEA Positive Clinical Benefits in Conditions Associated with Pain Low b

Natural vs Synthetic

Once upon a time (yes it really was, like, back in the day), our ancestors found comfort in the natural world. The trees, the woods, the stones — they were all things people used to discover homes and food sources and treat their own illnesses, from small scrapes to life-threatening infections. And astoundingly enough, this practice of using nature as medicine existed long before modern pharma companies had the chance to regale us with their fancy synthetic concoctions that are supposedly just as good as Mother Nature's herbal 'cures'. The pharmaceutical companies are not interested in cures or preventing the symptoms of an ailment, they are interested in profits. It's no secret that there are many side effects associated with pharmaceuticals that can be life threatening. The commercials on TV always tell you about all of the possible side effects but not how much it will cost or even if it will work for your ailment. And while they're not lying when they say that t

Holistic Pain Management

Pain management is a holistic approach that focuses on treating the root causes of pain and educating patients on how to manage their conditions in order to achieve long-term relief. Herbs Herbs are a popular treatment for pain because they're easy to use and have few side effects. They can be taken as teas or tinctures, and they're often used in salves and ointments as well. Herbs work by decreasing inflammation and increasing blood flow to the area where you're experiencing pain, which helps the body heal itself naturally from injuries or illness. You can use herbs both acutely--when you have an injury or inflammation that needs immediate attention--and chronically--for long-term conditions like arthritis or fibromyalgia that require ongoing treatment over time. Herbs are also beneficial for both physical and emotional pain: some herbs reduce physical symptoms such as muscle spasms while others address psychological issues such as anxiety or depression by calming your min

Treating Food as Medicine for Chronic Pain

Are you tired of living with chronic pain? I know I was! I felt like no doctor was listening to my concerns and with the new opioid restrictions, the thought of relief was just a dream. Chronic pain can be debilitating and affect every aspect of your life.  Imagine being able to do the things you love without constant discomfort. Picture a life where you can focus on the things that matter the most to you. With the right approach and guidance, it's possible to reduce the impact of chronic pain on your daily life.  I have mentioned in my other posts, my doctors wanted me to take an insane amount of ibuprofen and acetaminophen on a daily basis. My main concern was that my liver and kidneys would be damaged and guess what? I would be in even more pain because lets get real, ibuprofen and acetaminophen do not take away chronic pain. I was also given gabapentin, which is a prescription drug used as an anticonvulsant. However, they are distributing this drug like tic-tacs for pain. For
